Kanatol-200, chemically known as Diethyl Phthalate (DEP), is a low-molecular-weight plasticizer and solvent. It softens polymers and adds flexibility. Its primary uses include acting as a fixative in fragrances and perfumes (such as agarbatti/incense), a solvent in paints and lacquers, a plasticizer for cellulose plastics, an alcohol denaturant, and a fixative or carrier in cosmetics and personal care items.
