Thioglycolic Acid (TGA) 80% is an organic sulfur compound primarily used in cosmetics for hair perming and depilatory (hair removal) creams. Its reducing properties break the disulfide bonds in hair keratin. It is also utilized in leather processing, oil and gas corrosion inhibition, and metal extraction.
